Dustykid, as the name suggests, represents a playful board with a remarkably bold design. This time, it's not just the nose that's unique, but also the bottom of the board, especially in the last quarter. Here, we can highlight that so far, we haven't come across anything similar in the market.
The principle of the nose remains the same as in SUPERMODE, with some slight corrections, but we've updated other elements while considering the previous design direction. The sides are thinner, allowing for a 46 cm wide parallel stance on the board, which is more than sufficient for a 22" wide board. Due to the thinner sides, we were forced to reduce the outer radius. This compromise was possible because the shape of the tail and bottom will now almost completely reduce the tilting left/right during paddling.
The board is also equipped with side handles for easier beach starts. With DUSTYKID, we focused primarily on redesigning the sides and bottom, which are entirely unique and designed by Urban Lagoja.
The bottom shape is designed to eliminate all shortcomings and even turn in favor of the paddler. When we push the back of the board into the water in the "power zone" area, we reduce the efficiency of the board's glide or increase friction.
The bottom shape of DUSTYKID is designed so that this pushing of the board into the water turns in favor of the paddler and increases kinetic energy in the direction of forward movement. Each push of the board's tail into the water adds energy instead of taking it away.
It allows for increased stability due to the surface with which the board bites into the water in the form of a saw or two teeth. All of this is easier and faster to execute, as the volume in this area is smaller and allows for faster lifting of the nose.
The bottom shape acts like a pocket into which we can more easily capture the force of smaller waves, allowing for more efficient utilization of the terrain's advantages or offered "bumps".

The first version, named SUPERMODE, stood out for its bold nose, side, and bottom design. It is an execution of the "Dougout" board, which was our prototype and attracted considerable attention from the outset. Using this board poses a challenge for the user, as executing a "pivot turn" is demanding, as well as requiring a very strict "parallel stance". Nevertheless, the board excelled in overcoming turbulent water surfaces, thanks to its shape in the front and rear, which combines the concepts of hydrodynamics and aerodynamics.
The aerodynamics are attributed to the designed nose in the upper half, as well as to the sides, while the majority of the board underwater is designed to maximize hydrodynamics. The special design of the bottom and center hole allows for thinning of the water under the board, reducing friction. The sides are shaped to achieve maximum hydrodynamics and aerodynamics, giving the board the appearance of a torpedo or submarine.
The sides are fully rounded, allowing for better stability and control of the center of gravity during paddling. The transfer of weight to the side is gradual and controlled. In combination with the bottom, the board is exceptionally stable, as noticed by the first user during testing. Although we were very excited about SUPERMODE, we had a desire to improve certain features. This desire for continuous improvement and exploration of new design areas led to the development of a new board, called DUSTYKID.
