The name Dustykid suggests playfulness, yet it boasts an exceptionally bold design. Not only the nose but also the bottom part of the board, especially the rear quarter, represents something entirely new on the market.
The principle of the nose remains similar to the SUPERMODE model, but we have updated other elements. The sides are now thinner, allowing for a 46 cm wide parallel stance on the board, which is ideal for a 22" wide board. Due to the thinner sides, we reduced the outer radius. This compromise was possible because the new shape of the tail and bottom almost completely eliminates left/right wobbling during paddling.
The board also features side handles for easier beach starts. With DUSTYKID, we focused on redesigning the sides and bottom, which are unique and designed by Urban Lagoja.
The bottom is designed to eliminate all deficiencies and turn them to the paddler's advantage. When we push the rear part of the board into the water in the "power zone," we reduce the gliding efficiency and increase friction.
POWER ZONE
The bottom of the DUSTYKID is designed to turn this pushing of the board in the water to the paddler's advantage, increasing kinetic energy in the forward direction. Each push of the tail into the water adds energy instead of subtracting it.
PIVOT TURN
Offers increased stability due to the surface with which the board bites into the water like a saw or two teeth. The smaller volume in this area allows for quicker nose lifting.
DOWNWIND AND SMALL WAVES
The bottom acts like a pocket that captures the force of small waves, enabling more efficient use of the terrain and the offered "bumps."
